Horsham, PA, February 21, 2008: Relevante, Inc., a leading provider of accounting and technology consulting solutions, announced it will host its next career workshop, “Networking Success,” in March. The free workshop is worth one hour of CPE credit. There are two dates available, Thursday, March 13 at our Media, PA location and Monday, March 24 at the Horsham, PA location. Each workshop will be from 7:30 AM – 9:00 AM.

 

“Networking for Success” will introduce you to various effective tools and techniques to use for improved networking success. The program will provide helpful conversation tips for anyone to use, including: icebreakers, greetings, valuable questions to ask, what to avoid, landing great referrals, recognizing potential opportunities, how to close a conversation, and much more. Participants will take away practical advice that can be immediately put to use.

 

Networking success can be achieved by using the right approach. A successful conversation at a business conference or social function can open many doors! However, many of us struggle to find the right icebreaker or line to use when we attempt to network; even a simple greeting or hello can be a challenge. We have all experienced that familiar awkward moment, only to realize later how we missed out on a precious opportunity.

 

Facilitating the workshop will be Fred Kaplan, MBA, CBM - Director of Financial Consulting for Relevante and current President of the Philadelphia chapter of the Institute of Management Consultants. Fred has run successful consulting practices for many years, and will tell it like it is. Fred will encourage audience questions and active participation. He currently manages a staff of 40 Relevante consultants.
